The terminal which was completed in 2002 is strategically located adjacent to the Public Port of Callao, and has access to excellent road and rail infrastructure. The terminal is the most modern of its kind in South America, combining state-of-the-arts facilities, know-how and the highest international safety and environmental standards. 

Is is interconnected to two safe berths at pier 5 by only 900 metres of piggable, stainless steel pipelines. The berths have an operational low-tide draft of 10.5 metres capable of attending deep sea tankers.
